The Energy Top Plus Damper is born from American Ingenuity. To begin with, it has the tightest seal of any damper in the industry, made of soft, compressible rubber, like the gasket on a refrigerator door. This damper lid truly closes unlike other top sealing dampers that often have a corner that remains slightly open. The seal alone will save hundreds on the utility bill and often pays for itself within the first couple of years. It replaces leaky fireplace throat dampers, creating an energy efficient damper that seals in air conditioning and furnace heat. It features a powerful pivoting arm that springs the damper into the open position and holds it there every time to the correct set height. The Energy Top Plus opens as much as 81% higher than the competition. It is constructed of stainless steel and aluminum. It is easy to install, adhering to the flue with adhesive, included. Each Energy Top Damper has a stainless steel cap which keeps out snow, sleet, hail, mammals, birds and insects. Includes a 30' cable, firebox bracket, mounting hardware, cool-touch spring handle and mounting adhesive. The 8" X 17" Energy Top fits outside tile dimensions from 7" X 15" up to 10" X 18 1/4".
