Last Friday the Lindemann Chimney Supply branch closed for our annual charity project. One of our core values is: "We measure our success by the impact we have on the world". We had a very successful day. Mike Ruehrdanz found an organization through his church called Rebuilding Together. They were able to locate a family in need that our talents could help.
The homeowner was a long time postal worker that had severe carpal tunnel due to the repetitive nature of his job. He was being denied of Social Security, his postal pension as well as disability. His roof had some major leaks that were destroying the interior of his home. He did not have the ability or resources to fix him home.

We all arrived in Streamwood, IL around 7AM .

The outside crew began tearing off the roof.

The interior crew started painting.

After a long hard days work. The Lindemann Chimney Team managed to replace the entire roof, including several sheets of plywood. We painted two rooms, fixed an electrical outlet, and helped with various task the homeowner had trouble doing. It was the most successful day for our company this year. We were blessed with a beautiful day.

Despite a few aching bodies, we all had a really enjoyable time changing the world together.
